<p>&#039;(ඩසිප්‍රොක්ටා අගූටි – Dasyprocta aguty). දකුණු මෙක්සිකෝව...&#039; යොදමින් නව පිටුවක් තනන ලදි</p> <p><b>නව පිටුව</b></p><div>(ඩසිප්‍රොක්ටා අගූටි – Dasyprocta aguty). දකුණු මෙක්සිකෝවේ ද බටහිර ඉන්දියා දූපත්වල ද මධ්‍යම ඇමෙරිකාවේ හා දකුණු ඇමෙරිකාවේ ද කැළෑවල ජීවත් වන කෘන්තකයෙකි (rodent). එකිනෙකාට කිට්ටු නෑකම් දක්වන ඇගූටි විශේෂ 12ක් පමණ මේ ප්‍රදේශවල වෙසෙති.<br /> <br /> ඇගූටියා රට මීයාට නෑකම් ඇති, දුඹුරු පාට හුරු, රට හාවකු පමණ වූ ලෑටිගානා සතෙකි. උගේ ලොම් රළුය; යටි පැත්තේ ලොම් ළා කහපාටය. ඇස් ලොකුය. කන් කොටය; රවුම්ය. ගාත් සිහින්ය. වලිගය ඉතා කොටය. ඉස්සරහ ගාත්වල ඇඟිලි පහ බැගින් ද පස්සා ගාත්වල ඇඟිලි තුන බැගින් ද තිබේ. ඇඟිලිවල කුර වැනි නියපොතු ඇත.<br /> <br /> ඇගූටියා නිශාචර සතෙකි. දවල් කාලයේ ගස් බිල්වල හෝ මුල් අතර බෙනවල හෝ සැඟවී සිට ඌ රෑ එළියට බසියි. ඌට හොඳින් පිහිනීමට පිළිවන. උගේ ආහාරය වනුයේ කොළ මුල් හා ගෙඩි ආදියයි. උගේ තියුණු දත්වලින් ඕනෑ ම තද කටුවකින් යුත් ගෙඩියක මදය ඌට උලුප්පා ගත හැකිය. ඇගූටියා උක් වතුවලට හා කෙසෙල් වතුවලට බොහෝ සෙයින් හානි කරයි.<br /> <br /> සාමාන්‍යයෙන් ගෑනු සතා වරකට පැටවුන් පස් දෙනකු හෝ සදෙනකු බැගින් වදයි. පැටවුන් උපදින්නේ හොඳට විකසනය වුණු ආකාරයකිනි. ඉපදී පැයක් පමණ ගත වූ විට පැටව් කොළ ආදිය ටික ටික කඩා කන්නට පටන් ගනිති.<br /> <br /> ජගුවරා ආදි මාංසභක්ෂක සතුන්ට ඇගූටියා බොහෝ විට ගොදුරු වේ. ඇගූටියාගේ මස් මොළොක් මෙන් ම රසවත් බැවින් මිනිසුන් විසින් ද ඌ මස් පිණිස දඩයම් කරනු ලැබේ.<br /> <br /> මේ සතා මමාලියා වර්ගයෙහි රොඩෙන්ටියා ගෝත්‍රයෙහි ඩසිප්‍රොක්ටිඩෙ කුලයට අයත්ය. සමහර ඇගූටි විශේෂයෝ මයොප්‍රොක්ටා (Myoprocta) ගණයෙහි ඇතුළත් කරනු ලැබෙත්.<br /> <br /> (සංස්කරණය: 1967)<br /> <br /> [[ප්‍රවර්ගය: සත්ත්ව විද්‍යාව]] <br /> <br /> [[ප්‍රවර්ගය: ඇ]]</div>
