<p><b>නව පිටුව</b></p><div>බ්රිතාන්ය ගුවන්විදුලි සේවයේ (BBC) පෙරදිග අංශයෙන් ශ්රී ලංකාව අමතා සිංහලයෙන් සතිපතා ප්රචාරය කළ වැඩසටහනෙකි. මෙය මුලින් ආරම්භ වූයේ දෙවන ලෝක සංග්රාමය පැවති යුගයේ ය. 1942 හි පටන් ගත් මේ සේවයෙන් මුලින් ම ප්රචාරය කරනු ලැබුවේ විශේෂයෙන් ම යුද්ධ ප්රවෘත්ති ය. එහි මුලික ප්රචාරකයා වුයේ ශාස්ත්රාචාර්ය ජේ.වී. ෆොන්සේකා ය. ඔහු බ්රිතාන්ය ගුවන් සේවා භට හමුදාවේ සේවය කළ සේවකයෙකි. දිනක් ඔහු ප්රචාරකාගාරයට ගොස් ආපසු ගෙදර ආ විට දක්නට ලැබුණේ බෝම්බ ප්රහාරයක් එල්ල වී සුන්බුන් වී ගිය ඔහුගේ නිවසයි. 1942 පටන් දිගට අඛණ්ඩ ව ප්රචාරය වූ 'සංදේශය' වැඩසටහන ඉතා ජනප්රිය විය. 1976 මාර්තු 30 වැනිදා ආර්ථික හේතුවක් නිසා එය අත් හිටවනු ලැබී ය. මේ සටහන සැපයූ එම සේවයේ යෙදී සිටි අන්තිම ප්රචාරක නිලධාරියා වු සුධර්මන් ද සිල්වා මහතා එදින ඉදිරිපත් කළ සාරගර්භ කථාවෙනි. එම සේවයේ ජනප්රිය ප්රචාරිකාවක් වුයේ භද්රා ගුණතිලක මහත්මියයි.<br />
